Retail Sales Assistant/Driver - Southend (40 Hours)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant/Driver for their Southend store. This is a permanent, full-time role requiring a full UK manual driving license and a passion for wine.

About the Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will support the store team in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and act as an ambassador for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet KPI targets.
  • Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Offer VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with product updates and tastings.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and passion for wine.
  • Take ownership of wine knowledge, including WSET qualification.
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the store both internally and externally.
  • Handle operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising, and customer calls.
  • Ensure compliance, safety, and legal adherence.
  • Act as a key holder, managing opening and closing procedures.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Can-do attitude with passion for solving problems.
  • Adaptable and resilient.
  • Excellent communication and time management.
  • Wine knowledge beneficial, passion to learn essential (WSET Level 2).
  • Full UK manual driving license held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
