FULL DESCRIPTION

Van Driver

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Van Driver to join their Transport Team at the West Thurrock depot. This permanent, full-time role involves delivering and collecting assets across the UK, towing trailers, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete walk round and safety checks daily
  • Identify and report any vehicle defect immediately
  • Adhere to and follow safe systems of work and RAMS
  • Load and secure equipment accordingly
  • Fully comply with EU directive on drivers’ hours and tachographs
  • Fully comply with the highway code
  • Ensure assets are delivered to a high standard and vehicle kept clean
  • Complete workloads through BCA and plan routes effectively
  • Apply safe and fuel-efficient driving techniques, reduce engine idling

Key Requirements

  • Driving Licence - B+E entitlement
  • Towing experience and knowledge
  • Digital tacho card
  • Understanding of EU drivers’ hours and working time laws
  • Ability to carry out pre-use safety checks

  • Flexible approach, including working away and occasional evening/weekend work
