Assistant Management Accountant (London & Home Counties Business)
Location: London or Welwyn Garden City Office Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working
We are looking for a talented Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance Team in achieving accurate and timely accounting information, sound financial controls and financial process improvements, offering and delivering a consistent approach within the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. About the role
- Assist with a variety of reporting to include, but not exclusively, management accounts, overhead accounts, balance sheets, reconciliations, prepayments and accruals
- Produce the forecast for the short term weekly cashflow position and attend cash meetings
- Raise sales invoices and report on overdue cash
- Assist with cost reporting and control
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts consolidation, analysis and reporting
- Setup new contracts on the COINs accounts system
- Perform ad-hoc checks relating to Construction Industry VAT regulations
- Undertake balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Post prepayments, accruals and cost transfer journals
- Assist with auditor queries
- Prepare reports to assist balance sheet analysis including aged debt and aged creditors
- Ensure effective control of low value company assets such as phones and IT equipment
- Maintain process notes
- Assist with ONS survey
- Assist with various ad-hoc requests
Ideally you will have
- Construction industry experience
- Part qualified AAT / CIMA or equivalent

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will have the ability to work in a team environment contributing across the regional business, good planning and time management skills, ability to work well either alone or as part of a team, good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills, a part qualified accountant working towards an accountancy qualification, experience of working with COINS and experienced in Microsoft office with advanced skills in Excel.
