Role Overview

We are seeking Year-Out Design Management students to join our Business Units in the East of England. Placements available in Norfolk & Suffolk. You will be primarily focused within the Design Management function, but also take part in rotations in Digital Construction & Sustainability, Preconstruction & Programming, Commercial, Safety, Health & Environment, and Site Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of all Design functions and processes.
  • Contribute to design progress, reviews, and Information Required Schedule.
  • Review design and construction drawings, identify risks and opportunities.
  • Use [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] suite of design documents and write up Design Responsibility Matrix.
  • Understand impact of change on design, sustainability, risk, and procurement.
  • Participate in consultant performance feedback.
  • Engage with BIM processes and use Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Assist with contract and change management.

Requirements

  • Awareness of Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Basic understanding of construction techniques, sequencing, and logistics.
  • Effective interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Motivation to manage own development and work within a team.
  • Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
