About the Role

You will be working within our North East & Cumbria business, based in North Yorkshire where you will:

  • Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through accurate financial reporting
  • Manage subcontractor supplier accounts financially and contractually
  • Understand customer needs and ensure effective relationships
  • Identify, secure, and deliver business forecast in turnover and margin
  • Obtain competitive quotes and assist in cost value reconciliation reports
  • Ensure applications for payment are completed and submitted
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and monitor internal expenditure
  • Seek opportunities to maximise value and minimise costs in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Values
  • Support and coach other team members' commercial awareness
  • Liaise with customers and third parties on commercial issues
  • Financial closure of projects

What We Are Looking For

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques and a BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other commercially related subject, and/or RICS Membership. Strong knowledge of collating site records for interim and final account payments, cost reports, and understanding of period cost reporting and relevant systems/software is required.
