Quantity Surveyor
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for their Northern Home Counties business unit, based in Welwyn Garden City. This is a permanent, full-time position with project-based and office-based work, offering occasional remote working flexibility.

About the Role
You will be working within our Construction London & Home Counties business, where you will:
- Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through accurate financial reporting
- Manage subcontractor supplier accounts financially and contractually
- Understand customer needs and ensure effective relationships
- Identify, secure and deliver business forecast in turnover and margin
- Place subcontract orders in accordance with main contract
- Obtain competitive quotes by understanding market trends
- Assist in cost value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery
- Ensure applications for payment are submitted to terms
- Seek opportunities to maximise value and minimise costs
- Support and coach team members on commercial awareness
- Liaise with customers on commercial issues including variations and claims
- Financial closure of projects
What We Are Looking For
Ideally you will have experience working on 2 stage projects and managing projects individually, with significant main contracting experience on schemes between £10 and £40 million. You should have a BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, and/or RICS Membership. Strong knowledge of COINS and cost reporting is required.
