About the role
- Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting
- Manage subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually
- Understand fully the customer’s needs and ensure effective relationships are built and maintained
- Provide support to the site team on contract requirements
- Identify, secure and deliver the business forecast in both turnover and margin
- Place subcontract orders in accordance with the main contract and manage subcontractor accounts
- Monitor subcontractor against programme
- Obtain the most competitive quotes by understanding current market trends
- Assist in the production of cost value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery
- Ensure applications for payment and invoices are completed and submitted
- Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements
- Monitor internal expenditure against budget
- Seek opportunities to maximise value and minimise costs
- Operate systems to provide information necessary to manage the contract
- Ensure all customers and stakeholders have exceptional customer service
- Support and coach other team members
- Liaise with customer representatives on commercial issues
- Financial closure of projects
What we are looking for
- Experience working on 2 stage projects and managing own projects individually
- Significant experience in the main contracting market with experience on Mixed Use/Leisure/Commercial/Educational/Life Science schemes between £10 and £60 million
- BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other commercially related subject, and/or RICS Membership
- Strong knowledge of collating site records, period cost reporting, experience with COINS
- Passion for the project and ability to work in an inclusive, hardworking team environment
