Senior Economist

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Senior Economist to lead projects, manage teams, and apply innovative analytical approaches across policy areas. The role involves direct line management, client engagement, and strategy. Based in London with hybrid working.

What you will do

As a Senior Economist at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will take the lead on multiple projects by designing and applying innovative analytical approaches. You will have direct line management responsibilities for a team of economists and provide guidance on theory and techniques. You will mentor your team, support their development, and be mentored by top experts. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams, interact with clients, and collaborate with senior leadership, Tech, Commercial, and Communications teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of projects.
  • Manage project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.

  • Collaborate with senior management on strategies for project delivery, business development, and resource allocation.
  • Engage and build relationships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Foster a collaborative and effective team environment.

Requirements

Essential: University-level degree in Economics, Econometrics, or related field (MSc or PhD a plus). Fluency in English (other languages including Greek a plus).

Desirable: Previous work experience in government, academia, consulting, or voluntary sector. Experience in key policy areas we cover.

Working arrangements
