About the Role

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), you will be an experienced clinician acting within your professional boundaries to provide same-day care for patients registered at the surgery. Duties include telephone triage, history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations as an autonomous practitioner, using clinical judgment to diagnose, treat, or refer patients.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug- and non-drug-based treatments.
  • Make direct referrals to primary, secondary, and social services within agreed pathways.
  • Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness in line with evidence-based practice.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all patient contacts.
  • Support patients in adopting health promotion strategies and self-care principles.
