Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Consumables and Materials Manager to support the Theatre Complex at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] ([Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]). The hospital has 17 elective theatres and 4 emergency theatres covering various specialties.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide a stock administration function for the Main Theatre Complex.
  • Maintain Theatre clinical area stock items and equipment to agreed levels.
  • Engage with IT systems such as the Inventory Management System.
  • Place orders with NHS Supply Chain and manage non-stock requisitions.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining optimum stock levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Use the Powergate system for non-stock materials management.
  • Count, deliver and appropriately store department stock, including stock rotation.
  • Respond to enquiries with effective communication skills.
  • Carry out non-stock requisitioning as necessary.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications: A' Level standard or equivalent, NVQ level 3 or CIPS Foundation. Experience in a customer-focused environment. Skills: Ability to use IT systems like NHS Supply Chain and eProcurement.
