Job Summary
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Capital Team are recruiting a Capital Assistant to their Inverness office. In this varied role you will assist with the day-to-day accounting and reporting of capital expenditure across their portfolio of 240 care homes and hospitals, ensuring the timely processing and review of capex and major revenue requests. Responsibilities include monitoring expenditure against budgets, ensuring the smooth running of the capex approval processes, and the timely payment of capital invoices. Candidates must have a basic understanding of accounts and accounting systems, good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, strong attention to detail and organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to work to deadlines.
Main Duties of the Job
Assist with processing capital and major revenue requests; record and monitor requests accurately in appropriate budgets; monitor progress of capex and major revenue requests; process capital invoices into the accounting system with appropriate authorisations; deal with supplier queries; reconcile capital supplier statements; assist with maintenance of equipment registers; file documentation; prepare information for the Capex committee.

Person Specification
- Basic understanding of accounts and accounting systems
