Occupational Therapist
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Occupational Therapist in King's Lynn. Full-time, fixed-term contract until 31/03/2027. Salary: £42,000 to £56,500 a year.
Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time (37.5 hours) Occupational Therapist to join our experienced MSK Primary Care team on a fixed-term contract until 31/03/2027. As the role includes home visits, you need to be a car driver with access to your own vehicle.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide personalised, biopsychosocial occupational therapy interventions from initial clinical assessment, diagnosis, intervention to evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with the primary care multi-disciplinary team (MDT) across pathways and systems.
- Focus on rehabilitation for older adults to stay well at home, including risk stratification, rapid access, home assessment, and short-term interventions.
- Work into care homes and palliative care, dealing with undifferentiated diagnosis and red flags.
- Provide leadership, support, and facilitate learning within the MDT.
- Undertake both verbal and non-verbal communication methods to address patient needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans with an aim to ensure people can cope at home.
- Use frailty indexes to identify people needing a proactive approach.
- Rapid crisis response to prevent hospital admission or speed discharge.
- Short-term rehabilitation interventions and referral onto specialist services.
- Work in partnership with MDT colleagues, physiotherapists, social workers, families, and carers.
- Implement clinical governance, undertake regular audit and evaluation.
- Lead development of crisis and contingency plans.
- Facilitate interprofessional learning about occupational needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc or pre-reg MSc in Occupational Therapy approved by RCOT.
- Fully HCPC and RCOT registered.
- Up-to-date CPD portfolio demonstrating advanced level of practice.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience relevant to post.
- Desirable: HEE Roadmap to Practice (Stage 1), Level 7 MSc in Advanced Practice.
