Job Summary
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] - Directorate: Medical Director's Office - Simulation Fellow - Medical Education (OOPE). NHS Medical & Dental: Specialty Trainee C1/C2 (or equivalent). You will be supported to develop your simulation-based education competencies and portfolio through faculty development days, one-to-one support, and funded postgraduate certificate in Clinical Education. Research opportunities are available.
Main Duties of the Job
Applications are invited for appointment to a Simulation Fellow within Medical Education. This post offers an exciting opportunity for Medical Trainees to develop their experience and skills as medical educators within simulation based education working closely with the Medical Education Department. The fellowship consists of an out of programme experience for a period of 12 months attached to the Simulation and Interactive Learning (SaIL) Centre within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (GSTT).

Job Responsibilities
- Have an educational supervisor to support development in delivering simulation-based education.
- Participate in project work with opportunity to present at local, national or international conferences.
- Design, deliver and debrief simulation-based educational initiatives.
- Undertake quality assurance, peer reviews and support faculty development.
- Applicants must hold full registration with the GMC.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC Registration (Essential)
- FY2 - ST4-7 or Non Training Equivalent (Essential)
- Prizes or distinctions (Desirable)
- Presentation of work at national/international meeting (Desirable)
- Publications in peer reviewed journals (Desirable)
Clinical Ability
- Satisfactory progression through training (Essential)
Educational Capability
- Previous experience in medical education (Essential)
- Understands and can apply a range of educational concepts (Essential)
- Shows commitment to continuing professional development (Essential)
- Knowledge of career pathways in medical education (Desirable)
- Research experience (Desirable)
