Therapeutic Activity Coordinator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Therapeutic Activity Coordinator to join the Central Intermediate Care team. This part-time, permanent role offers a salary of £25,760 to £27,476 per annum pro rata. The closing date is 14 May 2026.
Job summary
Are you dynamic, creative, caring and looking for an opportunity to positively impact upon patient care and patient experience? If so Central Intermediate Care is looking for a Therapeutic Activity Coordinator to join our team. You will lead on developing a Therapeutic Activity Programme within the unit, working closely with the nursing and therapy teams. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills, experience of working with vulnerable groups of patients including those living with Dementia ,who will be innovative in creating and engaging a number of activities including the arts, music, reminiscence therapy and physical activities. We will offer you support from an experienced team of nurses, Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists. A personal development plan will be put in place to meet your ongoing development needs and we will provide a comprehensive induction programme.
Main duties of the job
- Supporting patients with physical and nutritional requirements
- Supporting patients with emotional and psychological needs
- Creating opportunities for patients to spend time doing activities such as arts and crafts, therapeutic massage, and other mindfulness and distraction techniques .
- Working closely with different members of the MDT to develop a range of different support mechanisms for patients.
- Supporting patients who have cognitive impairments and liaising with families, including completing getting to know me and what matters to me information.
