Main duties of the job
We are looking for a MATERNITY COVER GP who is motivated, ambitious, and willing to help shape the future of the practice. Ideally 4-6 sessions per week (negotiable).

A dispensing practice, training practice for GPs and students, committed to life/work balance and new ways of working. Located near Evesham Community hospital. Rated Good in last CQC inspection.
Job responsibilities
Salaried GP – Responsible to Partners/Practice Manager
- Deliver full range of primary care services including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, repeat prescriptions, referrals.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions.
- Assess undifferentiated health problems.
- Screen for disease risk factors.
- Develop care plans.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Record consultation notes, collect audit data, prescribe (EPS4).
- Participate in enhanced services and care plans.
- Complete annual appraisal and revalidation.
- Contribute to teaching, significant event reviews, clinical audit.
- Adhere to practice policies on confidentiality, health & safety, equality.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential: Eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS.
Desirable: Experience as GP educator, appraisal experience, additional clinical skills.
Knowledge & Skills
- Willing to complete appraisal training and stay updated with GP Appraisal/revalidation agenda.
- Handle sensitive information tactfully.
- Demonstrate ongoing personal and practice development.
- Facilitative approach, excellent communication (verbal, written, face to face, active listening).
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, email, EMIS web.
- Administration skills – organised and efficient.
- Car driver with clean licence and access to vehicle.
