Job summary
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking to recruit an experienced and compassionate Salaried General Practitioner to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for a flexible, supportive, and forward-thinking organisation with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
We are looking for a dedicated clinician to work 4 sessions per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), providing comprehensive medical services to our registered patient population. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care, while contributing to service development and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Main duties of the job
- Undertaking surgery consultations in a variety of formats (e.g. face-to-face and telephone)
- Responding to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Prescribing in line with local and national guidance
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with associated queries, paperwork, and correspondence
- Supporting the training and development of medical students
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records

The successful candidate will join an established and supportive team comprising 3 partners, 2 sessional GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistant, 1 Physician Associate, a Practice Pharmacist, and a Pharmacy Technician. We are part of the Preston North & East Primary Care Network.
