Consultant Radiographer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Consultant Radiographer to work alongside Consultant Radiologists and Specialist Doctors. The role includes independent performance and reporting of advanced breast imaging and interventional procedures.

Salary: £79,504 - £91,609 per annum (Band 8c)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Derriford Hospital, Plymouth

Main Duties

Acting as a Responsible Assessor for the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP), leading MDT discussions, supervising trainees and advanced practitioners, driving research and service development, contributing to strategic decisions and clinical governance.

Person Specification

Essential: Master's Degree in Breast Imaging, Certificate of Competence in Mammography, HCPC registration
Essential: Demonstrable experience as a Film-reading Radiographer, knowledge of NHSBSP QA guidelines
Desirable: Formal teaching qualification, experience in clinical research, leadership roles
