Job Summary
Would you like to work in a dynamic MSK Physiotherapy Service with exciting career development opportunities and the added benefit of being in the vibrant city of Birmingham? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for dedicated and self-motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The Service includes core MSK Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic Triage and Pain Management. We provide specialised MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy to diverse local communities across twenty clinic sites. We accept referrals from GPs, ACPs and Allied Health Professionals, as well as patient self-referrals.
We are looking for suitably qualified Physiotherapists to join our friendly and innovative team. Evidence of substantial post graduate experience of working in an Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment is essential and previous NHS experience is desirable. You will usually be timetabled to work out of a maximum of two different clinics over your working week.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide first class assessment and treatment to people with a variety of both chronic and acute MSK disorders.
- Demonstrate up to date knowledge and evidence of CPD in MSK Physiotherapy.
- Manage your own patient caseload within a supportive and experienced team.
- Supervise junior members of staff and students.
- Initiate, lead on, and contribute to service development initiatives and regular audits.
- Opportunity to complete a rotation through the Pain Management Service.

We are a research-active MSK service and have been clinical sites for trials such as BOOST, PANDA, and GRASP.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
Essential:
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Registered with Health Professions Council
Experience
Essential:
- Significant clinical Post Graduate experience.
- Extensive experience of working in Musculoskeletal Out-Patient setting.
- Experience of supervising staff.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in the NHS.
Skills / Knowledge
Essential:
- Evidence of relevant up to date clinical practice and CPD.
- Demonstrates ability to work unsupervised.
- Evidence of good verbal and written communication skills.
- Evidence of leadership skills.
