Salaried GP

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd is seeking a Salaried GP to join their team in Camberley, Surrey. This permanent role offers up to 8 sessions per week with Friday availability required. Main duties of the job

  • Conduct surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits.
  • Check and sign repeat prescriptions, manage clinical correspondence.
  • Provide high-quality clinical care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Record consultation notes using clinical systems such as EMIS.
  • Participate in audit and data collection.
  • Refer patients to secondary care as necessary.
  • Work on a rota covering 8:00-20:00 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 9:00-17:00 as Duty Doctor.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Understanding and Attributes (Essential)

  • Excellent understanding of role-specific responsibilities.
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems including MS Office and EMIS.
  • Understanding of GP practice, QOF, and Network DES Impact and Investment Fund.
  • Data gathering and interpretation skills.
  • Committed to multi-professional team working.
  • Willingness to develop and understand NHS current issues.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and quality issues.
  • Ability to travel (car driver with valid licence and business insurance).
  • Reliable and flexible for rota work.
  • Problem-solving and solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Innovative and adaptable to new ways of delivering primary healthcare.

Experience

Essential: Experience of initiating or participating in clinical audit. Desirable: GP Trainer experience, teaching/assessing learners, leading and motivating others, driving quality improvement.

Qualifications

Essential: Medical Degree, GMC Fully Registered, Medical Indemnity, Active on Performers list, MRCGP, Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (role-specific). Desirable: Active GP Trainer status.

Salary and Contract

Salary: £11,660 a session (depending on experience). Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time.
