Job Summary

Our [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] won the NSFT Staff Excellence Awards 2022. We are looking for an experienced B6 Mental Health Nurse to join our Perinatal Community Mental Health team in East Norfolk. This community post requires a valid UK full driving licence and own vehicle preferred. The team offers low caseloads, specialist training, and supportive senior staff.

Main Duties

  • Manage a caseload of women with moderate to severe mental health needs in the perinatal period
  • Undertake initial assessments and formulate care plans
  • Participate in duty rota (1-2 days per month)
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns to ECFS/Children's Services
  • Ensure all service users have co-produced care plans and up-to-date combined assessments

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with relevant registration
  • Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor training (NMC) or Practice Educator (AHP & Social Worker)
  • Ongoing professional development towards degree level if applicable

Experience (Essential)

  • Appropriate knowledge of mental health practice
  • Effective risk assessment and risk management experience
  • Experience in clinical interventions and mental health assessment
  • Experience managing a caseload and providing Mental Health Care services

Skills (Essential)

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Conflict resolution and Breakaway training (or willingness to undertake)
  • Effective analytical and decision-making skills
  • Care planning and risk assessment knowledge
  • Computer skills and Electronic Patient Record system experience
