Senior Technical Services Administrator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Senior Technical Services Administrator. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Birmingham with hybrid working. Salary: £28,392 - £31,157 per year. Closing date: 12 May 2026.
Job Summary
You will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administration service to the National Construction Programme Manager and their team, whilst also providing support to other Regional Estates & Facilities managers and members of the Technical Services Team as and when required. We can offer a friendly working environment where teamwork is highly valued and indirectly contributes to the saving and improving of patients lives. You will work with managers and staff across the country and will visit our centres as and when required as part of the Project Team. You will undertake an induction and training programme, with ongoing assessment, and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.
Main Duties
- Maintaining communication links between managers, teams and external agencies to ensure the construction programme is delivered on time.
- Providing dedicated support to a named senior manager(s) including diary and travel arrangements.
- Assisting in the development and preparation of project plans, producing instructions for new works and recommending amendments to policies.
- Monitoring capital, revenue and backlog maintenance budgets and preparing monthly reports.
- Maintaining records for annual leave, training, expenditure and staff absence.
- Dealing with queries and requests for information from members of the public.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in administration related subject OR equivalent experience
- ECDL or ITQ2 or CLAIT II or OCR (RSA) level 3 OR equivalent experience
- Demonstrates commitment to CPD
Experience
- Experience in a similar project or service delivery environment
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
- Comprehensive knowledge of office management and project management procedures
- Ability to analyse complex financial and project data
- Competent use of IT including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams) and Project packages
