Job Summary

Responsibilities include scanning and processing documentation, managing medical reports via DOCMAN, supporting reception tasks such as welcoming patients, booking appointments, handling patient information, and assisting patients as required.

Job Responsibilities

The following are core responsibilities:

  • Receive and process correspondence from hospitals and external agencies
  • Scan and upload documents onto the EMIS clinical system
  • Review and allocate documents within EMIS
  • Initiate and respond to requests from patients and staff
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absence
  • Manage patient queries and escalate issues
  • Maintain reception environment
  • Use EMIS for appointment scheduling and record management

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
  • AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care

Experience (Essential)

  • Experience working on EMIS or System One
  • Experience working with the general public

Experience (Desirable)

  • Experience in administrative duties
  • Experience working in a health care setting
