Job Summary

Responsibilities include scanning and processing documentation, managing medical reports via DOCMAN, supporting reception tasks such as welcoming patients, booking appointments, handling patient information, and assisting patients as required.

- Support smooth running of reception area
- Assist with patient registrations and prescription requests
- Maintain confidentiality and provide professional service

Job Responsibilities
The following are core responsibilities:
- Receive and process correspondence from hospitals and external agencies
- Scan and upload documents onto the EMIS clinical system
- Review and allocate documents within EMIS
- Initiate and respond to requests from patients and staff
- Provide cover for colleagues during absence
- Manage patient queries and escalate issues
- Maintain reception environment
- Use EMIS for appointment scheduling and record management
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
- AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Experience (Essential)
- Experience working on EMIS or System One
- Experience working with the general public
Experience (Desirable)
- Experience in administrative duties
- Experience working in a health care setting
