Job summary
To contribute to the provision of a specialist mental health pharmacy service within The Harbour Hospital, part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The Harbour is a 154 bedded mental health hospital situated on the Fylde Coast in North West Lancashire. It has the benefits of being situated in a quiet area, very close to motorway links, just off the M55. It consists of a variety of wards, including Adult Acute, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, Advanced Care and Older Adult Wards.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of both our staff and the service users across the localities we serve. We would love for you to join our compassionate and nurturing Medicines Management Team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding and highly supportive inpatient team as a Clinical Mental Health Pharmacist. The post is based at The Harbour Hospital in Blackpool, covering a range of mental health wards, including psychiatric intensive care units, acute adult mental health wards, older adult advanced care and dementia wards, and a Section 136 suite.
The role offers an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist who may wish to enhance their current knowledge base within the mental health field or who is already working at this level. We are a supportive Medicines Management Team and can offer many opportunities for pharmacists to build on their current expertise. We encourage all team members to identify, develop, and feel empowered to improve their skills. Hospital and/or mental health experience is desirable but not essential, as we offer an award-winning in-house training programme designed to support the successful candidate in developing the necessary skills and confidence for the role.

- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Evidence of and commitment to Continuing Professional Development
