We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Dovegate. HMP Dovegate is a category B remand Prison located in Staffordshire. The prison houses around 1200 patients with a variety of needs, including a number of patients with long term conditions and complex health needs. Within this role you will be working on reception, support with urgent same day medication, duty doctor referrals, leavers medication and substance misuse withdraw programmes. You will work closely with the nursing team and non-medical prescribers to deliver high quality healthcare services.
- Hours: Sessions Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 1pm-5pm
- Salary: This position is a bank role with an hourly salary of £81.25.

Requirements
- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake

Job Responsibilities
