Job summary

We are delighted to offer an apprenticeship in the Bowel Cancer Screening Administration Team for a Customer Service / Business Admin Apprentice. The department is part of a division that cares for patients with upper or lower gastro-intestinal digestive diseases and works closely with the Endoscopy Department. We are looking for a positive, friendly individual with a caring attitude and a commitment to supporting the Trust's Values, Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent. You will be reliable and hardworking with a desire to learn from the experiences you will gain during your apprenticeship which will enable you to progress and develop further in your career.

Main duties of the job

You will be providing administration support within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme office and the Endoscopy Department with duties which include booking appointments, maintaining medical records, communicating with internal and external colleagues and patients via email, telephone and face to face and general administration duties. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills and have a desire to deliver excellent customer service within their role.

Job responsibilities

Come and join us and be supported to earn as you learn whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification. You will study a Customer Service Practitioner/Business Admin Level 2 Apprenticeship. It is ideal if this type of role is new to you, where you can learn and build new skills. You will need to have minimum GCSE Grade 3/D or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work in a team. You will receive support to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring. The contract length is for 18 months and the apprenticeship salary on commencement is £15,739; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age). Qualifications

  • Essential: English & Maths GCSE at Grade 3/D or above or equivalent; Must have been UK resident for at least 3 years
