Clinical Teaching Fellow in Stroke Medicine
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Clinical Teaching Fellow to work at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. This is a fixed-term, full-time post for 12 months with a salary of £52,656 a year. The closing date is 19 May 2026.
Job Summary
Stroke Medicine is evolving rapidly. At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we are ahead of the game with a team of dynamic and enthusiastic colleagues. Based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital Comprehensive Stroke Centre, we treat 650 patients a year with stroke. The 12 month post (FT or LTFT) comes with 75% of time dedicated to teaching, audits, QIP and multi-centre research. The clinical time (25%) is to work in the Stroke Unit.
Main Duties of the Job
- Undertake full clinical/teaching duties as listed.
- Responsible for all teaching aspects of the Stroke component and Geriatrics Medicine component of module 306.
- Attend weekly 3-hour teaching sessions as part of a planned ward round rota.
- Assist with enabling teaching in the Stroke Unit and co-ordinating students.
- Produce evidence of output for the non-clinical project time (research, audit or QIP project).
- Clinical work to be undertaken as a Junior Doctor on the wards.
