Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will provide a high-quality, evidence-based dietetic service within specialist paediatric clinical areas, manage a delegated specialist caseload of children and young people with chronic and complex conditions, interpret medical, biochemical and nutritional data, advise MDT colleagues, support safe discharge, contribute to clinical guidelines and patient resources, supervise dietetic assistants and students, deliver training, and participate in audit and quality improvement.

Person Specification - Essential Criteria
- HCPC registration plus BSc or MSc in Dietetics
- Evidence of relevant post graduate training (clinical supervision, motivational interviewing, clinical updates)
- Recent post registration clinical dietetic experience
- Experience of supervision of students and assistants
- Evidence of contribution to clinical education and in-service training
- Experience of liaising and dealing with children
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership, organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to motivate and negotiate with challenging patients
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices
