Job summary
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] - Woman's Health Clinical Academic Group - Trust Doctor (eqv to ST3/7) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Whipps Cross University Hospital. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a Trust Grade Registrar at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] for twelve months, on a fixed-term contract, starting from 01st April 2026. Interested individuals are invited to apply for appointment to start as soon as possible. The post will be based at Whipps Cross University Hospital and while this is a non-training post, the successful candidate will work across the full range of specialist clinics and theatres and will be invited to take part in all the educational opportunities the department has to offer. There may be an opportunity to develop specialist interests including completion of SITMs if eligible.
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at Whipps Cross University Hospital and while this is a non-training post, the successful candidate will work across the full range of specialist clinics and theatres and will be invited to take part in all the educational opportunities the department has to offer. There may be an opportunity to develop specialist interests including completion of SITMs if eligible. Successful candidates will be encouraged to participate in teaching, research, audit and journal club. In line with our commitment to improving the working lives of our junior doctors, the duties and hours are fully compliant with the New Deal initiative. Individuals will require full GMC Registration and should at least be post MRCOG part 2. These posts are aimed at UK or Overseas trainee obstetricians at ST3+ level or above, and for EU trained individuals with the appropriate level of clinical experience. The successful applicant would join a 16-person middle grade rota.

Person Specification
- Qualifications and Knowledge: MBBS or equivalent, full GMC registration, MRCOG Part 1 (essential); MRCOG Part 2/3 (desirable)
- Experience: Ability to undertake second on call duties on labour ward (essential); UK registrar level experience, audit, research, teaching (desirable)
- Skills: Good communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary team
- Other: To take up post as soon as possible
