[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Data and Quality Manager for Connect Northwest in Warrington. This is a part-time, permanent position (Band 6) with a salary of £39,959 to £48,117 per annum (pro rata). The closing date is 19 May 2026.
Job summary
The Data and Quality Manager provides business intelligence support to extract, validate and analyse data reports from existing information systems. The post holder will support the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director and Lead Nurse at Connect Northwest, in the provision of timely reports and presentation of data, whilst linking with the Northwest Neonatal Operational Delivery Network.
Main duties of the job
The role involves monitoring the quality of data within the Connect Northwest's IT systems to ensure compliance with NHS standards and providing feedback and guidance to staff as a consequence. The Data and Quality Manager will carry out specified audit programmes and will monitor, analyse, and generate actions plans to support improvement of identified data quality issues. The successful candidate will ensure all databases are maintained and updated as required including dashboards relating to national and local service standards for Neonatal Transport. Provide training and support to new members of the team on the Medicus system and manage permissions. Develop innovative ways of presenting complex data in a clear and concise format whilst working to deadlines for data submission.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: Degree in numerate/technical discipline or equivalent NHS experience. Evidence of continuous professional development regarding data handling, processing and storage. Desirable: Masters degree in numerate discipline or equivalent relevant NHS experience.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential: Thorough understanding of current information issues and requirements in the NHS, including financial issues. Good understanding of data protection, FOI and Caldicott Guidance. Significant recent experience of managing staff and delivering training. Experience of managing change. Desirable: Specialist in-depth knowledge of NHS systems, data flows, data definitions and info sources. Experience of managing a budget. Experience of managing NHS related activity.
Management Skills
Essential: Able to deduce key points from complex data and present in a clear and concise format. Strong analytical skills and ability to undertake future scenario planning. Able to converse with all levels of staff from within the organisation. Ability to persuade, negotiate and influence staff and drive change.
Information Management and Technology
Essential: Experience of being responsible for collecting and storage of performance related data. Evidence of using various information analysis techniques such as Excel, SQL, Access, Pivot Tables and any associated tools. Desirable: Experience of SQL script-writing & components.
General Skills
Essential: Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work towards tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Able to be flexible and readjust plans, with ability to prioritise work within set deadlines.
