[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Limited is hiring a Regional Maintenance Operator for the North East region. This is a permanent, full-time position offering £28,560 per year, based in Newcastle. The role involves hands-on maintenance tasks across care homes in the Northeast region.

We now seek a Regional Maintenance Operative who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Whilst this position is a very hands-on, practical role, it is hugely important to us that you be mindful of and conscientious to individual needs and backgrounds. As part of our regional team, you will play a vital role in engaging with, supporting, and improving the quality of lives for our residents. You will carry out your tasks in a way that also promotes an approachable and respectful relationship with our residents to enable them to live a fulfilled and comfortable life with a sense of security, dignity, and self-respect.

Working in collaboration and unison with our Estates Managers and the wider maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring that high standards are continually met with regards to compliance and maintenance in and around the home environments. This will include but is not limited to; building repairs, basic plumbing, decorating, joinery, space management, and contractor liaison.

The role is based across our Northeast region, which stretches from Stockton to Northumberland, so travel will be required daily.

What we require from you:

  • Experience of working within similar environment
  • Solid maintenance experience including building maintenance and DIY
  • General knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • General knowledge of plumbing and joinery
  • An all-round attitude to maintenance and repairs, with an innovative solution-based approach

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential: Experience in a similar environment, solid maintenance experience, general knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and joinery skills.
