D2C Product Director

Company: [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]

Location: Manchester or London - Hybrid

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Director

Salary: Not specified

About the Role

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], our ambition is simple. We want to be our customers’ primary, trusted investment platform. That means delivering a high quality, low cost and easy to use experience that supports people at every stage of their investing journey.

As Product Director for our D2C business, you will shape and own the product vision, while leading the evolution of a product led operating model. You will enable teams to focus on solving the right customer problems and delivering measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

You will also take full ownership of the commercial performance of our product propositions, ensuring that product strategy, pricing, growth, retention and long term value creation are fully aligned.

This is a visible, senior leadership role. You will work in close partnership with Technology and UX to strengthen how we prioritise investment, make decisions and continuously learn, all within a clear regulatory and risk framework.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Defining and communicating a clear product vision and strategy for D2C
  • Creating the conditions for empowered teams to own problems, lead discovery and deliver outcomes
  • Owning the commercial performance of product propositions across their lifecycle
  • Using data and insight to guide prioritisation, investment decisions and trade offs
  • Evolving a scalable product operating model that improves delivery quality and pace
  • Building strong, outcome focused partnerships across Technology, UX, Marketing and the wider business
  • Ensuring customer outcomes, risk and regulatory considerations are embedded into product decision making

What Success Looks Like

In the first 12 to 24 months, you will have:

  • Established a clear product strategy that teams and stakeholders can act on
  • Enabled faster, more effective decision making with fewer escalations
  • Improved alignment between product priorities and commercial performance
  • Created clearer, outcome focused roadmaps across D2C
  • Strengthened understanding of what drives customer growth, engagement and long term value

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proven product leader with experience operating at a senior level within complex, and ideally regulated, environments.

  • A strong track record of building and leading empowered product teams
  • Experience owning commercially accountable product portfolios
  • The ability to connect product strategy with pricing, growth and financial outcomes
  • Strong judgement and prioritisation in complex, fast moving environments
  • The ability to influence across functions and align stakeholders around shared goals
  • A clear focus on customer outcomes, alongside an understanding of risk and regulation
