As a Project Manager at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd, you will lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of projects that support our mission to improve road safety, asset condition analysis, and infrastructure decision‑making. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and technical specialists to ensure each project is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards including ISO 9001 / 27001 and 45001.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope projects: Get involved in client discussions at an early stage to assess scope of the proposed project. Agree feasibility and create documentation to assist with framing the project scope.
- Specify requirements: Create high level project requirements, considering development requirements or enhancements to existing software tools.
- Design project plans: Work with client, admin, and developers to agree a feasible timeline and produce project plan outlining deliverables.
- Oversee project delivery: Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met. Identify potential failures and manage client expectations.
- Manage client expectations (change control, support): Work with client to identify change control elements and manage expectations regarding timescales and delivery.
- Administration: Produce and maintain project documentation such as workflow diagrams, security/permissions docs, and change control documentation.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as primary point of contact, facilitate progress meetings, produce clear updates, and build strong relationships.
- Risk, Quality & Compliance: Identify and manage risks, ensure work meets [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s quality standards, and support H&S compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project reviews and help refine project management frameworks.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience managing technical, operational, or data-driven projects.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and balance competing priorities.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Solid understanding of project governance, scheduling, and risk management principles.
Desirable:
- Experience in highways, surveying, engineering, or geospatial data.
- Familiarity with asset management systems or data-rich technical projects.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
