Finance Assistant
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team. This role serves as the key onsite financial contact for hotel teams, supporting financial reporting, audit processes, and daily operations at Crowne Plaza Harrogate.
Salary: £21,840.00 per annum (30 hours per week, 5 days)
Key Responsibilities
- Providing essential financial information to management accountants and the regional financial controller.
- Offer financial support and guidance to Hotel General Managers and department teams.
- Process and reconcile daily cash and credit card banking, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Audit the work of hotel teams to ensure it meets established standards.
- Adhere to audit procedures and security requirements.
- Deliver superior customer service through the Customer Service Programme.
- Attend required training and comply with health and safety and fire procedures.
- Audit daily business activities and maintain accuracy in hotel accounts.
- Provide weekly and monthly EPS payroll analysis reports.
- Monitor and review EPSYS, preparing GRNI at month-end.
- Support hotel teams in monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
- Liaise with Corporate Risk Internal Auditor to maintain financial controls and ensure PCI and GDPR compliance.
- Assist SSC management accountants with data for monthly forecasts.
Qualifications
- Effective communicator with customer-focused approach
- Proficient in financial reporting and analysis
- Initiative and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial & property management systems: SUN, PMS (Opera, Brilliant, OnQ), EPSYS (purchasing), EPS (payroll), EPOS (Maitre D, Micros, Brilliant)
