Description

You will be required to work with a 12-year-old young lady with an Acquired Brain Injury in her own home and the community. You will be supporting our client to attend regular weekly activities and maintain her therapy programme. Our client has regular pony riding sessions so you must be confident around horses. She also enjoys arts & crafts. This post will ideally suit someone with similar interests. Experience of epilepsy awareness would be beneficial. You should have previous experience of working with people with disabilities, and full training and supervision will be given. The salary for this role is £15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Duties

Your duties will include supporting our client with their pony riding session, encouraging the client to engage in weekly therapy programs as well as social and leisure adventures.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • You should have previous experience of working with young adults with a disability.
  • Driving licence and car owner is essential.
  • You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
