About the Benefice

We are an established vibrant, welcoming, rural benefice of three churches in the beautiful Peak District. Bound together by a shared vision to grow disciples, grow congregations and grow leaders, we are committed to outreach and growing younger. We offer committed leadership teams in each parish, strong financial reserves and a variety of existing missional opportunities to build upon.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture and disciple church members into a deeper relationship with God, enabling us to put our faith into practice in daily life.
  • Equip people for mission and ministry, serving our communities and sustaining our Christian presence.
  • Expand our mission and outreach opportunities amongst children, single people and families to help our churches to grow younger and more vibrant.
  • Grow our churches; building new worshipping communities within our existing and new community partnerships.
  • Reach out to visitors and walkers forming pilgrims who encounter faith through our built heritage.
  • Lead our churches in challenging injustice and caring for creation through the Eco Church Awards.
  • Shape our structures creating new and innovative ways of working together across the benefice.
