We are recruiting keen and enthusiastic Care Support Workers to work in our Extra Care Service, located in Riverside Heights – Darwen to ensure that the resident’s needs are met with dignity, respect, and compassion, alongside supporting activities in the community and within our Extra Care Services.

Job Specification

  • Visit residents within our Extra Care Services, at times directed by care coordinators and management.
  • Provide personal care to clients.
  • Provide medication, meals/drinks, repositioning, and domestic support to residents.
  • Share necessary and appropriate information with the Team Leader/Manager.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Fully comply with Company policies, procedures, and approved practices, and promote the aims of the Company.
  • Participate in induction training and regular in-service training programmes, as directed by managers or supervisors.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • A caring nature, good personal values with a will to do well.
  • Someone who enjoys helping people and who wants to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A positive and can-do attitude.
  • Experience in the care industry is preferable (Level 2 Qualification in Health & Social Care), but not essential as full induction/training will be given to those new to the care sector.
