Engineer Integrated Ops
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an Engineer Integrated Ops to manage proactive and reactive incidents, act as a technical escalation point, and ensure timely resolution of complex operational issues. The role requires strong network knowledge including routing protocols, Cisco equipment (CCNA mandatory), SD-WAN, IP VPN, Riverbed, and incident management skills. About the role
- To be responsible for the management of both proactive and reactive incidents ensuring a professional and consistent delivery of quality services to our Customers.
- Act as a point of contact for coordinating with other internal and external teams to resolve key/complex operational issues (technical escalation) and for all chronic incidents.
- Effectively control the clarify queue to ensure all incidents are actioned in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor the number and age of pending incidents to ensure timely incident resolution.
- Generate and review the Daily dashboard report and initiate corrective action to resolve long pending incidents.
- Act as the First Level of escalation and own the escalations till closure.
- Provide technical support to Service Desk specialists to help solve complex issues.
- Act as SME for at least one technology, process, and tool and deliver knowledge sharing sessions.
- Manage technical crisis bridge and communication during major incidents.
- Proactively identify incidents which may miss MTTR/customer commitments.
- Backup team leader in absence and assist in streamlining technical/day-to-day processes.
Requirements
- Experience/working knowledge of network, security, APM devices.
- Riverbed knowledge preferred.
- Understanding of complex networks with exposure to IP VPN services and SD_WAN.
- Excellent diagnostic and network troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of router ACLs.
- Strong experience on routing protocols (OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP4, MPLS, RIP).
- Router types: Cisco all chassis.
- Protocols: TCP/IP.
- CCNA mandatory and at least one exam of CCNP/CCIP.
- Good interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
- Service-oriented, customer-focused, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
