Key Responsibilities

• Operate the vehicle safely, adhering to road restrictions and speed limits.
• Undertake mandatory vehicle checks every use and report defects.
• Secure passengers and wheelchair users correctly using safety equipment.
• Ensure adequate fuel for each journey.
• Clean vehicle inside and out on a regular basis.
• Remove and replace seating as required.
• Park vehicle in correct depot bays.
• Operate passenger lift and assist passengers entering/exiting.
• Communicate patiently with passengers and clients.
• Assist the Passenger Assistant with duties.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Willing to undertake a Private Hire Vehicle license application.
• Sound understanding of working with individuals with disabilities.
• Patient and level-headed attitude.
• Minimum one year driving experience.
• Willing to undertake and satisfy a DBS check.
