FULL DESCRIPTION
PCV Driver (28 Hours)

Location: Erith | Workplace type: Onsite | Employment Type: Permanent | Compensation: £16.36 / hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
- Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken every time the vehicle is used.
- Ensure that all passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly using necessary safety equipment.
- Ensure the vehicle has adequate fuel and is cleaned inside and out regularly.
- Remove and replace seating as required.
- Park the vehicle in the depot correctly.
- Operate the passenger lift and other equipment to assist passengers.
- Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient, informative manner.
- Assist the Passenger Assistant with duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Sound understanding of working with individuals with disabilities.
- Able to deliver service with a patient and level-headed attitude.
- Hold a full unrestricted D driving licence (auto restrictions acceptable) with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Hold a CPC qualification card with mandatory training up to date.
- Minimum of two years’ experience of driving a bus or coach.
- Hold or willing to apply for a DVLA Digital Tachograph driver’s card.
- Willing to undertake and satisfy a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- Hold a current and valid D4 medical examination report.
