Machinist

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Limited is seeking an experienced Machinist to join the Bridge Fabrication team. This role involves machining precision components to specification using CNC milling equipment.

Key Duties

  • Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy
  • Perform start of work machine inspections
  • Report machine faults via Maintenance Reporting Procedures
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines, retrieve and input CNC programs
  • Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials
  • Measure and inspect components using micrometres and verniers
  • Input production tickets onto SAP
  • Provide assistance/training to semi-skilled machinists
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

What We’re Looking For

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience running CNC machining centres
  • Time served apprenticeship within machining

Desirable:

  • Experience using SAP

  • Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions

  • Ability to prioritise and organise work with minimal supervision
