About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to support with in-field customer warranty diagnosis & repairs for the BOXER MIV. Key duties include:
- Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment in the field in compliance with technical service and statutory regulations
- Independent deployment at a customer’s site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation
- Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, particularly those involving safety at work and environmental protection
- Responsible for the preparation of safe and compliant work sites, materials and tools
- Customer care & satisfaction
- Execution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned & un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stages
- Accurate completion of all documentation inclusive of job sheets and work orders
What We’re Looking For
Essential qualifications and experience:
- C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair level 3 (or equivalent)
- Minimum of grade C in English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent)
- Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufacture
- Skill and experience in the operation of diagnostic equipment, diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of English language, written and spoken
- Good PC skills, particularly with the common MS Office applications
- Experience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industry
Desirable:
- Military vehicle technical / maintenance experience
- Driving licence Class C (HGV2) minimum
- HGV MOT Inspector (DVSA qualified)
- Knowledge of German language to be desired
- Recent exposure to electronic fleet management systems
