Deputy Room Leader – Baby Room

We are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Deputy Room Leader to support the leadership of our Baby Room at Newmarket.

The Role

As Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and practice for our youngest children.

  • Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the Baby Room
  • Take shared responsibility for planning, routines, and environment set-up
  • Lead by example in delivering responsive, attentive care to babies
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families, offering reassurance and communication
  • Guide and support team members to maintain consistent, high-quality practice
  • Step confidently into leadership when the Room Leader is absent

This is a hands-on leadership role where your presence, tone, and attention to detail truly matter.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Experience working with babies (0–2 years)
  • A strong understanding of attachment, routines, and responsive care
  • Confidence in supporting others and stepping into a leadership role
  • A good knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS
