Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Operative - Bioflex Earlies to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.
  • Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.
  • Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.
  • Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

What you’ll be doing

  • To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
  • Ensure that output is in line with the production targets
  • Inform the Team Leader of any quality problems, process problems, or machine breakdowns asap.
  • Ensure that a good relationship is maintained within the department with all staff.
  • Report any material or consumable shortages as soon as possible.
  • Conduct periodic checks in accordance with relevant procedure and/or specification.
  • Maintain a high standard of 5s always
  • Record breakdowns on the necessary documentation.
  • Record all scrap on the necessary documentation.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed correctly and without exception.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time.
  • Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised.
  • Demonstrate ability to make decisions based on data available
  • Work when required with your departmental manager and team members to identify, implement and drive actions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the correct Quality controls and measurements are adhered to.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with Safety Health and Environmental standards in line with Company procedures
  • Highlight/challenge unsafe behaviour before any accidents occur

Skills/Experience

  • Safety minded
  • Computer literacy is desirable
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work to high quality standards
  • Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual work
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Raise H&S concerns when applicable or when required on rota.
  • Participate in Self Directed Teams meetings
  • Experience within a manufacturing role
  • Experience of measuring techniques including digital verniers
