Sales Engineer - Food, Beverage & Hygienic Solutions

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Solutions (part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]) is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sustainable business growth in the South UK region (Remote). This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to deliver fluid management solutions to the Food, Beverage & Hygienic industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Establish and maintain a sustainable pipeline of opportunities by growing key customers and high-growth industries.
  • Business Development: Identify and engage potential customers through research, networking, and industry events.
  • Consultative Selling: Guide customers through their buying journey using a consultative approach.
  • Customer Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor, offering technical expertise and building long-term relationships.
  • Managing Sales Leads: Own sales leads and inquiries, providing tailored quotations and timely follow-ups.
  • Allocating Workload Strategically: Allocate workload across EMEA support functions to free capacity for high-impact initiatives.
  • Demonstrating Products: Proactively visit customers and attend exhibitions showcasing products through on-site or virtual demonstrations.
  • Researching Trends: Research competitor, market, and industry trends; share insights with global colleagues.
  • Utilising CRM Tools: Track and manage leads using CRM tools; deliver accurate forecasts.
  • Driving Total Customer Solutions: Use consultative sales skills to partner with key customers.
  • Championing Core Values: Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, customer focus, excellence, and respect.

Skills/Experience

  • BSc or Diploma in aligned subject or equivalent technical experience.
  • Technical sales experience selling process capital equipment or similar services/products into process industrial customers. Food & Beverage or Clean Process experience is an asset.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability in key account management and business development in technical B2B environment.
  • Entrepreneurial skills including problem solving, budgeting, networking, and collaboration.
  • Ability to travel 60-70% across the designated patch (face-to-face interaction essential).
