Learning and Development Assistant

This role supports the Global Head of L&D with a change programme (5 Star initiative), coordinating events, workshops, and tracking invoices. The ideal candidate is a graduate with assistant-level experience in a professional services firm, with strong organisational and communication skills. The role offers a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Areas of focus and responsibilities

  • Initiative working group: Coordinating working group meetings, taking notes, tracking progress.
  • Event coordination: Drafting invitations, tracking responses, finding venues, liaising with programme designers and local teams, attending events.
  • Coordinating workshops: Liaising with consultants, drafting invitations, setting up Zoom links, attending in admin role, sending feedback forms.
  • Tracking invoices: Receiving and processing invoices, tracking in cost tracking spreadsheet.

Skills and experience

  • Degree level qualification
  • Previous experience in a learning and development assistant level role at a professional services firm
  • Experience of organising events on and offsite
  • First class written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative

The essentials

  • 12 month fixed term contract
  • 9.30am to 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
  • Hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office
  • 12 week probation period
