Internal Sales – Engineering Manufacturing (Mechanical Products)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is representing a global engineering manufacturing business seeking an Internal Sales professional to handle complex quotes, account management, and upselling.

Location: Middleton | Salary: £20k+ | Type: Permanent

Role and Responsibilities

  • Deal with more complex quotes / account management
  • Have to use costing systems or calculations
  • Quotes from technical drawings
  • Upselling and cross-selling
  • Costings – what margins to apply to make profit
  • Monitoring accounts and getting in touch with old accounts with little orders
  • Phone through lapsed clients
  • Understand commercial conditions / review POs
  • Understand different materials / country of origin, temperature and pressure etc
  • Investigating customer complaints

Experience Required

  • Experience quoting/selling a mechanical product ideally- pumps, valves, seals, gaskets, etc are all of preference
  • Experience of order entry
  • Self motivated, organised, team player with excellent communication skills
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office
