About the Organisation
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a specialist setting working with pupils who present with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, often alongside significant barriers to learning. We are a Pupil Referral Unit serving Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 across three sites in Liverpool. About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher to join our Key Stage 2 provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a class within our specialist setting and for creating a safe, purposeful and engaging learning environment. You will plan and deliver high-quality teaching, establish clear routines and expectations, build strong relationships with pupils and families, and work closely with support staff and leaders to secure consistent practice. You will adapt teaching effectively in response to pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs and contribute to pupils’ wider personal development, regulation and re-engagement with education. This role requires a calm, resilient and reflective teacher who is committed to helping vulnerable pupils experience success in school.
Personal Qualities
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status and demonstrate strong classroom practice, high expectations and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. We are looking for a teacher who can create a calm and consistent learning environment, adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, and respond positively to challenge. Experience of working with pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs would be advantageous, although applications from strong mainstream practitioners with the right values, skills and mindset are also welcome. The successful candidate will be resilient, reflective and committed to collaborative practice within a specialist setting.
