About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Sociology to join the large and vibrant Humanities department. The successful candidate will implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and support a designated subject area as appropriate. They will monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor, facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. They will contribute to raising standards of student attainment and share and support the school responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

You will be passionate about your subject, whilst transferring your knowledge in a creative and contextualised way in the classroom and successfully plan and deliver consistently good lessons on a daily basis that both challenge our students and significantly advance their learning.
