Class Teacher

You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (or be working towards it)
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning

Qualifications and Training

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS (ECTs)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Secure understanding of the Teachers' Standards
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications (e.g. SEND, curriculum development, subject leadership)
  • Evidence of professional development linked to improving teaching and learning

Experience:

  • Experience of teaching in a primary setting (including ECT placements)
  • Experience of planning and delivering well-structured lessons
  • Experience of assessing pupils' progress and adapting teaching to meet needs
  • Experience of creating a positive and purposeful classroom climate
