Duties & Responsibilities

  • To be a key part of an Overhead Line team installing maintaining and repairing overhead electrical networks from LV to 33kV in accordance with relevant construction & quality standards.
  • Have a high regard for safety at all times, ensuring you adhere to all Electrical & Safety Safe Systems & work procedures & provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and Client/Company distribution safety rules.
  • Carry out risk assessments, method statements and maintain safe working practices.

What Do I Need?

  • To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in construction, repair and refurbishment and a sound HV or LV Electrical knowledge.
  • You should also have good communication skills, be adaptable, self-motivated and flexible. You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather.
  • A team player that is enthusiastic and willing to participate and take responsibility.

Desirable Requirements

  • Current DNO authorisations of Overhead Lines wood pole works up to 33kV
  • CSR/Safepass/SHEA Power
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid
  • MEWP/IPAF Certificate
  • Pole Top Rescue
  • Full driving licence
  • Category C licence would be desirable
  • Training will be provided
